Introduction to Mexican American Studies
Prerequisite: must be placed into college level reading (or take GUST 0342 as a co-requisite) and be placed into college level writing (or take ENGL 0310/0349 as a co-requisite).
Credit: 3 (3 lecture)
The main goal of this course is to provide students with a basic foundation in the Mexican-American/Chicano Studies discipline by offering insight into historical, social sciences, demographics, socio cultural, political, economic, linguistics, educational, and cultural themes that are relevant to the experience of Mexican-Americans in the U.S.
