Inspired by travel, textiles and our relationship to place, Bouillet creates paintings with complex narratives and dense patterns. Wedge Space Arts Lab Monday, October 14, 2019 With Both Hands | Jennifer Overfield & Rolando ReynaFREEJennifer Overfield and Rolando Reyna collaborate in With Both Hands, an interdisciplinary exhibition Rolando’s grandmother was orphaned and immigrated to Texas at age seven. Letters amongst family revealed travel and adoption arrangements. Notably, she travelled alone by train and was identifiable to her new family only by a bouquet of flowers she was holding. According to Rolando’s mother, she was told to hold onto those flowers very tightly. The rest is undocumented.
